Sewage ground - Postjesweg Amsterdam

A sewage pumping station quickly sounds like a drab and gray building. That it can also be done differently is proven by Waternet, which - on behalf of the municipality of Amsterdam - built the sewage pumping station on the Postjesweg in Amsterdam. In addition to functionality, this building has taken the environment into account and has made it attractive for animals and plants. And we are happy to show you that JAZO products fit perfectly with this.

The challenge

The new pumping station is part of the new city park 'Spoorpark', where most of the pumping station has been made underground. Above ground, only a small building with shutters is visible, matching the natural environment. And JAZO was asked to use its knowledge and expertise for this purpose. In addition to ventilating doors and an access door for the pump room, we also supplied sheet metal that is attached to the facade.

The solution

With our applications, we have not only thought about the functional aspect. We also had a large share in the appearance of the building. This has certainly been achieved with the vertical VS grilles!
